Bjorn Wiinblad (1919-2006), noted Danish artist/designer, began working at Rosenthal in 1957. This platter was created sometime around `1960. The design was included in the Studio Linie, which was inaugurated in 1961, but this platter does not include that line designation, so it must have been produced prior to that date. The design on the platter is similar to his "Love Story" series. The platter is about 13" in diameter, and the bright colored additions and gold are intact, along with what is probably a facsimile signature. The platter is much whiter than the initial photo, which was chosen to highlight the additions. The only mar is a slight break in design on the head of the woman on the left of the platter (it is difficult to see). It does not detract from the overall picture, and may be a slight manufacturer's defect. There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or scratches. There are holes on the back tor hanging the platter. I have a similar vase listed. Questions are welcome. Combined shipping for multiple purchases is available. Returns are possible under regular guidelines, including the buyer paying for return shipping. I usually ship via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail since these include insurance. If you are making an offer, please give me at least 24 hours to respond.
