Relisted due to buyer non-payment Antique ca. 1910s-20s hand carved Chinese red agate brooch, probably made for western export I assume the stone was carved in China and set in the west or in Hong Kong, due to the faint stamp of “sterling” on the reverse side of the setting Ringed with glass seed pearls Very nice condition, no missing pearls The agate is not cracked but does show some natural inclusions/fissures when held up to the light I have not attempted to polish or clean the silver 11.69 grams 2” x 1.25” This is an antique item, and as with any antique item it has imperfections. I have attempted to list them all here, however, please treat this item with the care you would treat something 100+ years old. If you wish for an item that behaves like new, please go buy something new instead.
